Worn Leather Shoes | Photogrammetry Asset

Hey guys !
This project focuses on capturing and reconstructing a worn leather shoe using a home photogrammetry setup. I aimed to create a high-fidelity asset using only natural window light, without any professional lighting.

I captured 60 RAW photos with my Sony A7III and 50mm prime lens (f/8, 1/60s), then color-corrected them in Photoshop. The images were processed in Agisoft Metashape to generate a high-resolution mesh, which I cleaned and refined in 3ds Max. Final presentation renders were created in Marmoset Toolbag.

Key takeaways from this workflow:

Maintaining consistent exposure and lighting under natural conditions

Accurate reconstruction of surface details from high-resolution photos

High-poly mesh cleanup and artifact removal for presentation

This is my third photogrammetry project, and I’m happy with the improvement in quality and precision compared to my previous work. It’s a small but meaningful step in refining my photogrammetry workflow and production skills.
